Ceremony Sites
Every moment of a couple’s wedding day is important, but the ceremony is what gives meaning to everything else – it’s where happily ever after begins. Each venue that Cumberland offers has unique details to make your day spectacular. With gorgeous views of the Pamunkey River, a colorful rose garden and the dramatic backdrop of colonial architecture, there are multiple possibilities for an exquisite ceremony.
Reception Area
With each of our three venues, we offer a scenic location for an outdoor reception, as well as a picturesque ceremony site.
Whether you prefer an intimate affair or a gathering on a grand scale, we will work with you to create the ideal setting.
Rehearsal Dinner
The ground floor gallery of Cumberland House includes a formal dining room that offers a tranquil atmosphere for a lovely candlelight dinner. Smaller wedding parties will find our custom-built mahogany table ideal for up to 24 guests. For larger parties, additional seating options extend to include the Estate grounds in their entirety. Regardless of the arrangement you choose, you and your guests will be immersed in the beauty and charm of the 350-year-old brick and stonework, as well as the artifacts detailing the plantation’s long history.
